Burnley Town Centre Revved Up by Successful Vintage & Performance Car Show

Sep 15, 2025

Burnley town centre was firing on all cylinders on Saturday (13 September) as visitors from across the region flocked to the return of the Vintage & Performance Car Show, organised annually by Burnley BID, with support from The Rotary Club of Burnley.

St James’s Street and Curzon Street were filled with an impressive display of vintage, classic and performance vehicles, with proud owners on hand to showcase their prized motors and even invite visitors to take a seat behind the wheel.

The event also offered lots of free family activities with children (and grown-ups) posing with the iconic ECTO-1 Ghostbusters car and meeting Jurassic and Ghostbuster characters, alongside crazy golf, face-painting and a car-themed trail.

The show, now in its fourth year, delivered a significant boost to local businesses, with town centre retailers, cafés and restaurants reporting increased footfall and trade throughout the day.

Laura Diffey, BID Programme Manager, said: “Our annual Vintage & Performance Car Show has firmly established itself as a highlight in Burnley’s events calendar. It’s about more than just cars though – it’s about attracting people into the town, creating a fantastic atmosphere and supporting local businesses.
